ZipRecruiter does not publish its prices. Third-party estimates put an employer subscription at about $299 to $399 a month per job slot on the Standard plan, $419 to $519 on Premium and $719 to $899 on Pro (as of 3 October 2026). You pay per active job, not per applicant, so five open roles cost roughly $18,000 to $24,000 a year on Standard before add-ons. For frontline and hourly roles, compare that with what a pre-screened applicant costs elsewhere.
What ZipRecruiter charges: plans and estimates
ZipRecruiter quotes every employer individually, based on industry, location, company size and job volume, and its employer pricing page asks you to sign up first. The figures below come from third-party price trackers and reviews, so treat them as a planning range and ask for a written quote.

| Plan | Estimated price per job slot and month | What third parties report |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $299 to $399 | distribution to 100+ job boards, AI candidate matching, no resume database |
| Premium | $419 to $519 | adds about 25 resume views a month and higher placement in search |
| Pro | $719 to $899 | unlimited resume views, three TrafficBoost credits a month, ATS integration, account manager |
| TrafficBoost (add-on) | $300 to $500 per boost | paid promotion of a single job |
Some reviewers quote a bundle model instead, for example $299 for one active job, $599 for three and $999 for five or more. The numbers differ because the quotes differ. That alone is a reason to compare in writing.
What it costs: one job and five jobs
Because the price follows the number of active jobs, the bill rises with every role you open. The table uses the Standard range.
| Scenario | Per month | Per year |
|---|---|---|
| 1 job, Standard | $299 to $399 | $3,588 to $4,788 |
| 5 jobs, Standard | $1,495 to $1,995 | $17,940 to $23,940 |
| 5 jobs, Standard, one TrafficBoost each | $2,995 to $4,495 in the first month | boosts are one-off, repeat as needed |
Reviewers also report a discount of roughly 15 to 20 percent for annual commitments. Check what a commitment means for you: hiring for hourly roles is seasonal, and a slot you pay for while the role is filled earns nothing.
Hidden costs and fine print
- Trial converts to a paid plan. The free trial runs two to four days, needs a credit card and, according to reviews, converts automatically unless you cancel in the dashboard.
- Resume views beyond the allowance cost extra, reported at about $1 per view.
- TrafficBoost is not included on Standard and Premium and costs $300 to $500 per boost.
- Slots, not applicants. The invoice stays flat whether 5 or 50 people apply, but you pay the same for a role nobody sees.
- Billing complaints. One review summary counts 83 complaints at the Better Business Bureau over three years, many about billing and cancellation. Read the cancellation terms before you start.
- You rent the audience. Applicants arrive in ZipRecruiter's system and in your inbox. When you cancel, the reach is gone.
Is ZipRecruiter worth it?
Ratings are strong. G2 shows 4.8 out of 5 from 1,390 reviews and Trustpilot 4.5 from about 12,300 reviews, although Trustpilot mixes job seekers and employers (search results, October 2026). ZipRecruiter works well for a handful of roles when you need quick distribution to many boards and have someone to read and answer the applications.
A planning calculation helps for hourly roles. Boostpoint's 2026 benchmark of 891 US Facebook and Instagram campaigns shows a median of $13.88 per applicant. A Standard slot at $349 a month, the middle of the range, breaks even with that median at about 25 applicants a month. A slot that delivers fewer costs more per applicant than the benchmark; one that delivers more costs less. Note that a benchmark applicant is a completed form, and the two numbers are neighbours, not twins.
Cheaper ways to hire frontline staff
If you hire nurses, drivers, warehouse or trades staff continuously, a flat price per job slot is the wrong unit. These options price by budget or by result:
- Sprad Social Recruiting: Instagram and Facebook ads, ad budget plus 10 %, from €1,000, spread across several roles. A €5,000 budget across five roles costs €5,500 in total.
- Boostpoint: managed Facebook and Instagram job ads for US and Canadian employers, from $750 a month per job category plus ad budget, with a public benchmark.
- Talroo: a US job network where you pay per click or per application.

Own your reach instead of renting it
Every job board charges for reach, and with most of them the contacts stay on the platform. Sprad Social Recruiting reverses that: you pay for the ads once, and every applicant lands in your own talent pool. An AI talent agent pre-screens each one via WhatsApp, phone or web before a person spends time. Pricing is ad spend plus 10 %, from a €1,000 budget. FAQ
How much does ZipRecruiter cost for employers?
ZipRecruiter publishes no prices. Third-party estimates are $299 to $399 a month per job slot on Standard, $419 to $519 on Premium and $719 to $899 on Pro, as of October 2026. Ask for a written quote.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, a short one of two to four days. Reviews say it needs a credit card and converts automatically to a paid plan unless you cancel.
Does ZipRecruiter charge per applicant?
No. You pay a subscription per active job slot, so the bill does not change with the number of applicants.
What does it cost to post five jobs?
About $1,495 to $1,995 a month on Standard, or $17,940 to $23,940 a year, before add-ons such as TrafficBoost.
Is ZipRecruiter good for blue-collar and hourly roles?
It can deliver applications quickly for a few roles. For continuous frontline hiring, compare the cost per applicant and who owns the contacts with social media recruiting, where the ad reaches people who do not search job boards.
What is a cheaper alternative to ZipRecruiter?
It depends on volume. For continuous frontline hiring, Sprad Social Recruiting charges ad budget plus 10 % from €1,000 and keeps every applicant in your talent pool. In the US, Boostpoint and Talroo are further options.
